What must be available at the venue of a wedding?
For the performance during their wedding ceremony, all I need is a power connection in the immediate vicinity of the place where I am singing. This is the case in most registry offices and churches. Just ask the registrar or pastor.
If the wedding takes place outdoors, for example under a gazebo on the grounds of a hotel, a power line must be laid or an aggregate provided.
Will a music system be brought for the ceremony?
Of course, the system is brought by me to the wedding. I attach great importance to the quality of the sound. That's why I have the best portable PA system on the market, the Bose L1 . This system guarantees a crystal clear sound.
The attachable speakers ensure a brilliant sound distribution throughout the room.
How much time is needed to set up the system?
Often there is little time to set up at weddings. In some registry offices and now also in some popular churches is married every hour.
Here it is important that the setup is as easy and quick as possible. I need 10 to 15 minutes to set up the system and a short soundcheck. However, I am already at the venue at least 30 minutes before the start.
How many songs should be sung during a wedding ceremony?
That depends on which program points are planned otherwise during the wedding ceremony.
Is my performance the only background music or is it still an organist and is the community also singing? If intercessions, poems or small stories are presented, one must always keep an eye on the time frame. If the ceremony is too long, it quickly becomes lengthy and loses its magic.
I usually recommend the newlyweds to choose two or three songs that are sung by me. If I am the only "program point" next to the wedding, as is often the case with free wedding ceremonies, it can sometimes be four songs.
What should be considered in the order of the wedding songs?
When moving in, it is advisable to choose a worn, romantic song . This wedding song was meant to convey a certain solemnity and one should be able to do well. This may sound a bit strange, but it's an important point. If the song is too rhythmic, the marching becomes a march - and you do not have to go to the bus ...
The moment of the "yes-word" is the actual highlight at a wedding. This should also be reflected in the song selection, which is usually performed after this part of the ceremony. Even before the "yes-word", this second song can be placed, but this depends on the overall dramaturgy and should be discussed with the pastor or registrar. Here you choose best a wedding song with goose bump factor and none that only ripples relaxed.
For the excerpt of the bridal couple from the church or registry office, it is best to choose a song that accompanies you and the wedding party happily and elated. So you create the perfect transition to the champagne reception or meadow for weddings.
How far in advance do you book a wedding singer?
Since most people mate on weekends, mostly on Saturdays, and most preferably only in the summer months, the capacity as a wedding singer is limited.
For particularly popular dates, such as the 20.02.2020, wedding singers are often already booked a year in advance. If you get married on a normal working day, you sometimes have the chance to book a singer at relatively short notice.
In order to take no risk, it makes perfect sense to contact the singer of choice as soon as the appointment and the place for the wedding ceremony are established. Most bookings and planning for a wedding take place at the beginning of the year in January and February. Whereby I receive many inquiries already in the previous year.
For a request you use the contact form .
How much is a wedding singer?
The prices of professional wedding singers are between 250.- and 500.- €. As a rule, then the journey is added. This is usually calculated with 0.30 to 0.50 € / km. My prices start from 290.- €. You can find a detailed price list under "Wedding Singer Book" .
What does "singing halfplayback" actually mean?
This means that the music is played via Mp3 on a system and the wedding singer sings live with a microphone.
When do extra costs arise?
If you want a wedding song from which there is no playback, there is the possibility to get an individual playback. By prior arrangement, only the actual costs incurred for the playback production will be forwarded to you. An individually produced piano playback, for example, costs between 40 and 60 €. It may be worth 120 euros more to book a pianist - in the duo version .
What is meant by "wedding singer with accompaniment" (DUO variant)?
On request, there is the very nice opportunity to perform the entire song live at the wedding. So, also the musical accompaniment. Depending on the choice of songs, I recommend a guitarist (acoustic guitar) or pianist (piano and / or keyboard). In some registry offices even wings are available, which on the one hand facilitates the construction and on the other hand enhances the wedding ceremony.
Please also read my blog post , in which case "live music" or "half playback" is the better choice.
May the photo or video material of the vocal performance be published?
Photos and videos of the vocal performances recorded during a wedding may be used exclusively for private use.
Neither the publication on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube or other websites on the Internet are permitted and require the express permission of the artist.
Is it possible to book for a wedding abroad?
In principle, almost every singer can be booked for a wedding abroad. However, of course, here a larger budget for flight, accommodation, transportation of the facility or other eventual costs, such as a rental car (to arrive to the venue) must be taken into account.
